We're committed to inclusive adventure by fostering meaningful access for guests and employees with diverse abilities. With 32 programs in partnership with nonprofit organizations and one fully in-house adaptive program, we aim to make snow sports accessible to everyone.

Resourcing Employee Support

In 2023, Alterra marked a milestone by introducing the ski industry’s first comprehensive slate of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). The purpose of ERGs is to provide voluntary support networks formed around shared identifies and experiences to help counter isolation and build community.

Prioritizing Mental Health & Wellbeing

In response to the very real mental health crisis in our mountain communities, our proactive Mental Well-Being & Resilience Program is strategically breaking down the stigma often associated with these issues through the availability of counseling, training, and related services.

We have a shared responsibility to take climate actions serious, ad we are committed to creating the biggest impact, while leaving the smallest footprint.

Our 2030 Sustainability Commitments

1.Reduce Carbon Emissions by Over 50%
Our aim? To reduce emissions even faster than what climate scientists say is needed to limit warming to 1.5°C by 2050.
2.Transition to 100% Renewable Energy
We’re planning a mix of onsite and offsite renewable energy projects and will be proactively partnering with utility providers across our portfolio to make this goal a reality.
3.Attain Carbon Neutrality
A peak focus at Alterra is the reduction of our carbon footprint by upgrading efficiencies and decarbonizing our operations.
