DENVER, CO, June 28, 2023 – We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, colleague, and one of our principal owners, Jim Crown.

Jim was an exceptional individual, an accomplished business leader, and a tireless community advocate. He was also a skier to his core, who loved the mountains and all they offer. To say that we have been fortunate to have his leadership on the Alterra Mountain Company board since our inception would be an understatement. Several team members had the opportunity to spend a few days with Jim just last week in his hometown of Chicago, where, as always, Jim was engaged curious, affable, thoughtful, and supportive of our employees, our work, and our future. An irreplaceable contributor to our company's leadership, his impact on us and many others will be felt for many years to come.
